The LG Nitro HD is finally out on AT&T in the US and it has already been rooted just days after being released. The LG Nitro HD is a 4G device for AT&T’s LTE network, it comes with pretty good specs: 4.5 inches screen, dual-core processor and Android Gingerbread. As I was saying previously users have reported that just by rooting the LG Nitro HD and doing a factory reset the device felt much faster. Quite nice since getting root privileges on this phone is actually quite simple.
Follow these instructions to root / jailbreak your LG Nitro HD:
- Download the USB drivers for your LG Nitro HD
- Install the drivers and connect your device to your computer
- Download SuperOneClick @ [APP]SuperOneClick v2.2 (now with zergRush and su 3.0)
- Install SuperOneClick on your computer, start it and click on Root to root your LG Nitro HD
You need to make sure that USB Debugging is checked otherwise you may have some issues getting root on this device.
It is also worth mentioning that using a USB 2.0 port might give you better results and that you may have to do a force install of the drivers.
You can see a LG Nitro HD rooted / jailbroken with a different method below, it is much faster than stock as you can see:
