How To Overclock Your Acer Iconia Tab A500

The Acer Iconia Tab A500 is a versatile Honeycomb tablet and it has been quickly adopted as one of the tablet of choice by many Android developers. Not only are those developers keeping it up to date with the latest and greatest Honeycomb 3.2 ROMs, they have also managed to overclock it to up to 1.6 GHz. So how do you overclock your Acer Iconia Tab A500?
First you’ll need to root it, check out previous articles about it: Root Acer Iconia Tab A500 with Honeycomb 3.1 – How To, Root Your Acer Iconia A500 Tablet – How To or on XDA @ How To Root An Acer Iconia A500.
Then you will need to install the following custom kernel: [KERNEL] Stock/HV/Taboonay. You can find the kernel files to download on XDA @ [KERNEL] Stock/HV/Taboonay.

The custom kernel created by richardtrip contains the following features:
