There is nothing more frustrating than installing an app on your tablet to find out that it was written for phones only and it doesn’t use your tablet’s full screen. Most of the Android apps will scale very well and we don’t necessarily need a Honeycomb specific app but some just won’t scale. But there is a fix! Let’s find out more about how to display all the Android apps in full screen on Honeycomb.
All the credits go to mroneeyedboh @ XDA who described the process.
The process to get all your apps to display in full screen on your Android tablet is extremely simple:
- Download an app called Spare Parts on the Android Market (Link)
- Open Spare Parts on your tablet
- Uncheck Compatibility Mode (should be at the bottom of the list on the main screen)
- Reboot your tablet
Now you can enjoy all your apps in full screen mode on your Android Honeycomb tablet like the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1, Asus Eee Pad Transformer, Acer Iconia Tab and others.
