As we already know Android tablets are very versatile and open. We’ve seen some of them running Ubuntu, a popular Linux distribution, and now this OS also runs on the latest tablet from Samsung: the Galaxy Tab 10.1. As usual this is coming from an XDA contributor: poitee who recently released instructions and the necessary code to run Ubuntu on your Galaxy Tab. More info after the break.
Note that this is a beta so the touchscreen is not working yet, a USB mouse and keyboard is recommended.
You can see Ubuntu running natively on the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 in the YouTube video below:

If you feel adventurous and want to give it a try on your own Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 you will find the download and installation instructions on XDA @ [TABUNTU] Galaxy Tab 10.1 NATIVE Ubuntu WIFI now with a video.
