HP TouchPad Performance Tweaks

If you took advantage of HP Fire Sale and acquired an HP TouchPad then this article is for you! Out of the box the HP TouchPad is a bit sluggish to say the least, it appears some of it is due to the extensive logging enabled by HP. This might help HP troubleshoot issues but this has a big impact on the end user experience. Luckily those issues can be fixed easily using Preware and a few patches. Let’s find out how.

Now that you’ve Preware available on your HP TouchPad, there are a couple of patches you should apply to improve its performance:
  • Faster Card Animations HYPER Version
  • Increase Touch Sensitivity And Smoothness 10
  • Muffle System Logging
  • Remove Dropped Packet Logging
  • Unset CFQ IO Scheduler
  • Unthrottle Download Manager
To apply a Preware patch on your HP TouchPad, open up your launcher then go to Downloads and open Preware. Then in Preware click on the Search button to install those packages.
This will definitely improve your HP TouchPad performance.
