Posted by techhackz-admin Saturday, July 23, 2011

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 is one of the best Android Honeycomb tablet available today, it is thinner and lighter than an iPad 2 and does offer a great end user experience. If you have one you may have noticed a slight delay when rotating your screen and there is a very simple way to fix this without even running any application. Find out how to fix the auto rotate lag issue on the Galaxy Tab 10.1 tablet after the break.

All the credits go to rizaldi @ XDA who posted a forum post about this solution.

To fix the auto rotate lag issue with the stock launcher on the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1:

  1. Go to your home screen
  2. Simply press on the + button (right next to Apps)
  3. Now select any tab other than Widgets for example use App shortcuts or Wallpapers
  4. Go back to your home screen and try to rotate your Galaxy Tab 10.1 tablet, the screen will auto rotate faster than it used to.

We’ve tested this on a retail Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 tablet and it did make a difference, it’s incredible that such a little tweak can do something. It doesn’t survive a reboot so if you’ve to reboot your tablet you will need to do this again.
