The Asus Eee Pad is one of the most exciting Android Honeycomb tablets out there and it seems to be selling quite well thanks to its attractive price point: $399. This tablet has been rooted since its release and new instructions came out recently. Let’s have a look.
The updated instructions on how to root your Asus Eee Pad Transformer (TF101) can be found @ AsusTransformer Root + CWM recovery. This root hack uses Gingerbreak to root your Asus tablet, you can download all the necessary files there (TF101_BLOB_ROOT.zip and CWM_BLOB_V4 or CWM_BLOB_V5).
Make sure to read to following notes:
- You need an microSD card in at all times
- Asus OTA updates will not install after installing CWM recovery
- This gingerbreak version will not work with 2.2.x or 2.3.x roms its will only work with 3.0.x
