Posted by techhackz-admin Friday, June 10, 2011

The Motorola Xoom has been rooted from day one and jbrew78 @ XDA made it even easier by releasing a new application for Windows. This app will not only unlock and root your Motorola Xoom in one single click it can also unroot and relock it if needed. Let’s have a look.

Disclaimer: Please note that we will not be responsible if you end up bricking your device. Rooting or customizing your device can be risky, if you follow the instructions you should be fine!

Warning: If you own a Motorola Xoom in the UK you should not use this app as this may brick your device.

This app can root and unroot any Motorola Xoom tablet: 3G or Wi-Fi.

You can download this app to root / unroot your Motorola Xoom in one click on XDA @ Xoom One-Click Root/Unroot (3g and Wifi), make sure to enable USB debugging prior to using Xoom One-Click Root: Settings > Development > check ‘USB debugging’.

Follow these instructions to root your Motorola Xoom easily:

There are two versions of this tool:
1. Root AND Unroot and back to stock. This one is large because of the stock system.img clocking in at 200+mb
2. The NO UNROOT version. This is lots smaller. It is only about 19mb. You can NOT UNROOT with this tool. (Well, you can unroot but not relock. )

1. Unzip the tool and all of the folders and files into a directory. Preferably a folder on a root drive. (i.e. c:\xoom )
2. Run the Xoom One Click EXE tool and follow the instructions. Read the prompts carefully.
