Use Your Windows Phone 7 Device as a USB Drive – How To

MarcHoover @ XDA created an application for computers running Windows which allows you to use your Windows Phone 7 device as a USB flash drive. The app is called WP7 USB Storage Enabler, requires .NET 2.0 Framework and is very simple to use: you can see your Windows Phone 7 smartphone in the Computer panel along with your hard drive(s).

To use your Windows Phone 7 device as a USB flash drive, simply follow these instructions:

  1. Download WP7 USB Storage Enabler @ http://ultimate-networx.net/wp-content/plugins/download-monitor/download.php?id=3
  2. Install WP7 USB Storage Enabler on your computer (requires .NET 2.0 framework)
  3. You will need to have Zune installed on your computer and a device connected to your computer at least once
  4. You need to close Zune to use WP7 USB Storage Enabler
