The newest version of HTC Sense which will be preloaded on the HTC EVO 3D, myTouch 4G Slide (aka Doubleshot) etc. comes with many improvements including a brand new lockscreen. This lockscreen has now been extracted from a Doubleshot dump and can be installed easily on several HTC Sense custom ROMs (not AOSP like CyanogenMod or non-Gingerbread).
As you can see below this new lockscreen is easy on the eye:
Follow these instructions to install the HTC lockscreen on your HTC Sense ROM running Gingerbread:
- Make sure you’re running an HTC Sense ROM with Gingerbread, it will not work with an AOSP ROM or a Eclair/Froyo ROM
- Download the HtcLockScreen.apk file @ http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1054444
- Copy the apk file to your device and install it like any other apk file (using a File Manager like Astro for example)
- It will update your lockscreen
- If the new lockscreen doesn’t show up after the install then go to Settings > Display and select Stock Android Lockscreen (depends on rom) then install the apk file. When you’re done installing it go back to Settings > Display and unselect Stock Android Lockscreen.
