The Samsung Galaxy S 2 will be launching pretty soon worldwide but a few lucky developers have been able to get their hands on this new device. The Galaxy S 2 brings some much welcomed improvements like a dual-core CPU, Gingerbread and a bigger 4.3 inches screen. The new TouchWiz 4 user interface has been ripped from the Galaxy S 2 and can now be used on the Samsung Galaxy S and its variants (Captivate).

Please note that we will not be responsible if you end up bricking your device. Rooting or customizing your device can be risky, if you follow the instructions you should be fine!

The TouchWiz 4 launcher is reported to be slightly unstable so use it with caution, the ripped files were designed for JVB ROM but users have had success installing it on other ROMs like DebusRom or Continuum 5.

To install the TouchWiz 4 user interface on your Samsung Galaxy S or Captivate follow these instructions:

  1. Download the Zip file @ http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1050666
  2. Copy it to the SD Card on your Samsung Galaxy S
  3. Reboot into Recovery
  4. Flash the Zip file
  5. Wipe the Dalvik Cache
