The HTC Inspire 4G is the AT&T version of the HTC Desire HD, it comes with a great 4.3 inches screen, Android 2.2 and 4G capabilities. The device has been rooted and DOAlaboratories @ XDA released a custom kernel for Cyanogen Mod 7 which overclocks the HTC Inspire 4G to 1.8 GHz.

To install this overclock kernel you will need to root your HTC Inspire 4G, you can find instructions @ http://wiki.cyanogenmod.com/index.php?title=AT%26T_Inspire_4G:_Full_Root_Guide#Rooting_the_HTC_Desire_HD.

Once your HTC Inspire 4G is rooted, you can follow these instructions to install the overclocked kernel for CM7 [from [KERNEL]CM-Enigma [BFS][SLQB][VDD][1.8ghz]v 1.3.2]:

  1. Download CM7OC_1.3.2.zip @ http://www.mediafire.com/?pq7y7sb5dhz1fnv
  2. Do a Nandroid backup first
  3. Copy the zip file you downloaded to /sdcard
  4. Using ROM Manager flash the zip file
  5. Download the SetCPU app on the Market
