It’s finally here! Greenpois0n brings an untethered jailbreak solution to iOS 4.2.1 devices like the iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad. Previous jailbreak solution were tethered which means that you had to re-jailbreak your device every time you rebooted it… not optimal and this is now solved thanks to the Chronic Dev Team.
Please note that we won't be responsible if you end up bricking your device. Rooting or jailbreaking your device can be risky, if you follow the instructions you should be fine!
To jailbreak / root your iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad running iOS 4.2.1 go to greenpois0n.com and download Greenpois0n. It is available on Windows, Mac or Linux. Note that Greenpois0n rc5 is currently not supporting Apple TV, rc6 is expected to provide that support.
Simply follow the instructions on your screen to jailbreak your iOS device.
