How To Run Android on Toshiba TG01

Posted by techhackz-admin Saturday, December 4, 2010

The Toshiba TG01 is one of the best Windows Mobile device available thanks to its 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon CPU and its 4.1 inch touchscreen. Thanks to Markinus @ XDA it is now also possible to run Android on the TG01 and fully leverage this great device.

Android on the Toshiba TG01 is not fully working yet but a lot of progress has been made lately and it looks very promising. It is not yet possible to call anyone or use Wi-Fi but the touchscreen, audio, vibration and the USB port are working for example.

You can see Android running on a Toshiba TG01 in the YouTube video below:

The Volume and Camera Buttons are now supported.

Added touchscreen buttons
Added first Test Build! Extract to sd and run haret! Look to Post 2.

Touchscreen is working now. I had to recalculate the calibration values. Later we have to look to better calib values, maybe a calib app for users.
