The Nexus One is mostly a developer device and it usually gets tons of new Android ROMs etc. but recently Mitsutaka a Japanese developer was able to port an entirely new OS: Meego to the Nexus One! Meego is a Linux based mobile operating system like Android and it is a joint development effort between Intel and Nokia.
This hack is not for the faint of heart, you have to be comfortable going through lots of steps and running shell script commands.

The developer took a couple of pictures of a Nexus One running Meego, it doesn’t look too good I have to say but judge for yourself:
