Universal Androot is an application which aims at providing a one click root solution for many different Android devices including the Nexus One, Samsung Galaxy S or the Dell Streak. Universal Androot is probably one of the easiest way to root your Android phone. Think of it as similar to unrevoked even so they support different Android devices, Universal Androot is still in beta but already offers great capabilities.
Universal Androot 1.6.2 beta 5 was released back in August and has the ability to root the following devices:

To download the Universal Androot APK file go to http://blog.23corner.com/2010/08/30/universal-androot-1-6-2-beta-5/ and install it on your device using ASTRO or any other file explorer.
