The Dell Streak is one of the slickest Android cell phone available on the market today, with its huge 5 inches screen the Streak is closer to a tablet than a phone. Its biggest issue is that it ships with Android 1.6 which is really old, hackers found a way to run Android 2.1 on it and now Froyo aka Android 2.2 can also be installed on the Dell Streak.
Stephen Hyde @ Modaco released a custom ROM for the Dell Streak that you can find @ http://android.modaco.com/content/dell-streak-streak-modaco-com/319728/dell-streak-froyo-build-beta/.
Everything is said to be working in this Android 2.2 custom ROM [from Modaco thread]:
Working:
Everything that i know of
Known Issues:
mobile data is turned off by default it can be easily enabled in settings
no apns are included as standard these need adding manually.
Known Bugs:
Streak will sometimes randomly reboot
after you switch off wifi, the 3G data will not come back on - reboot should fix
