Modify your Android Display Resolution DaRkL3AD3R @ the Android Central Forums was able to discover a way to edit the resolution of your Android screen. It does not actually modify the resolution but the impact is the same, everything will look smaller on your screen. This hack requires root access as you can imagine. More information after the break!

DaRkL3AD3R mentioned this hack is not for the novice so proceed with caution! You will need root access and will have to edit a build.prop file.

Take a look at the before and after pictures of the Android Market:

So if you’re interested in modifying your Android phone display resolution head over to [How To] Resolution Tweak (req. Root) and give it a try!

Another easier way of applying this hack requires RootExplorer which is a paid application but it is much easier to install [from avlfive @ [How To] Resolution Tweak (req. Root)]:

1. Copy the build.prop to the root of your SD card
2. Long press on build.prop
3. Select "Copy"
4. Navigate to /system
5. Click R/W in the top right corner
6. Paste, and overwrite
7. Reboot
