The newest Samsung devices come with a custom UI called TouchWiz which is loved by many and rolle3k @ XDA managed to modify the TouchWiz launcher to make it usable on a Nexus One as well as other Android devices. This modification requires a device running Android Froyo (2.2) build FRF83 and does not require root access.
The installation instructions are extremely simple:
- Download the TouchWiz Launcher @ http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=709763
- Copy the apk file to your SD Card and use your favorite File Explorer to install the TouchWiz Launcher on your device
Users have also been able to install it on the HTC EVO 4G or the HTC Droid Incredible. rolle3k mentioned some issues with the Samsung widgets and some apps which hopefully will be sorted out in future releases!
