The Android port for the iPhone is making some progress and if you’d like to give it a shot without going through a lengthy installation process iphodroid is for you! iphodroid is an application that lets you install Android on your Apple iPhone 2G/3G in a couple of minutes, it has just been released in beta.
You can download iphodroid @ http://www.iphodroid.com/.
The installation instructions are quite simple:
- You need a jailbroken iPhone 2G or 3G, if your iPhone is not jailbroken yet take a look @ Jailbreak your iPhone or iPod Touch using Blackra1n, you can also Google it.
You need to have openSSH installed on your iPhone, see http://www.iphodroid.com/help/ if you don’t know what I am talking about - Download iphodroid @ http://www.iphodroid.com/
- Install iphodroid on your Mac
- Connect your iPhone to a Wi-Fi network
- Start iphodroid and simply follow the instructions on your screen
- You now have both Android and iOS on your phone ;) enjoy!
