It has been a while since we last talked about the XDAndroid Project which provides a port of Android that can run on some HTC devices including the HTC Touch Pro 2, HTC Diamond 2, HTC Touch Pro and HTC Touch HD. The folks behind the project have made a lot of progress and introduced Android 2.1 recently. Want to give it a try?
Using Android on an HTC devices running normally Windows Mobile is quite exciting! and right now almost everything works fine. According to the developers the last remaining issues are the GPS and the camera (no pictures or videos can be taken) which is something we can live with. The battery life is also not that great but better than it used to be, remember you can also use Gen.Y DualBOOT to easily boot into Android whenever you want to.
