HTC Desire Camera App on Google Nexus One

image Paul from Android @ Modaco has been working on porting the HTC Desire ROM to the Google Nexus One and while working on this he has been able to run the HTC Camera application from the HTC Desire on the Nexus One without HTC Sense! For those of you who don’t like to run HTC Sense, you can now benefit from the nice camera application without the overhead of running a custom ROM with HTC Sense on your Google Nexus One.

Paul released a couple of update files needed to install the HTC Camera application, you can get them @ http://android.modaco.com/content/google-nexus-one-nexusone-modaco-com/305352/29-mar-r2-desire-camera-application-on-nexus-one-mcr-cm-enomther/.

To install this hack, simply:

  1. Copy the zip file to the root of your SD Card
  2. Reboot your phone in recovery mode
  3. Install using the zip file

You need a rooted Google Nexus One to be able to install this application:
