Swype is a revolutionary new text input method for Windows Mobile, if you don’t have a keyboard on your device then Swype is for you! Instead of typing your words you trace them on a software keyboard, once you get used to it you can write your emails and text messages very quickly.

Swype was first introduced with the Verizon version of the Samsung Omnia 2 and it has now been unofficially ported to other devices. It takes a bit of practice to get used to it but it comes with a tutorial and you can look at the video below which explains How to Swype.

There is also a pretty nice video with the iPhone and the Verizon Samsung Omnia 2 side by side which demonstrates that swyping is faster than typing.

Swype is available on many devices now:

- Android devices (Android 1.5 and above): http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=622144
